Also it is not unheard of that parent(s) will send children on planes on
their own to be met at the other end by a designated person. The
airline personnel are responsible for the child from the moment of check
in until they are released into the care of the designated adult at the
other end. So again call the airline you will be using and ask them.
The mother should definitely go to the airport with you and with proof
of her relation to the child.
