What do you mean by "immigrant visa in the passport (not readable
stamp....)?
When was your visa issued? How long has it been when you got that "stamp" ?
On March 23, 2004. DOS began issuing MRIVs at U.S. Embassies and Consulates
abroad phasing out the use of the Immigrant Visa (IV) Packet Optional Form
I-551A, which was traditionally used by the CBP Officer processing the IV to
record the immigrant's admission into the US.
If you entered in 2005 you should have this type of MRIV and the
Registration Number( Alien #) is on the upper right hand area of that stamp,
four lines below the label that says IMMIGRANT VISA!
Did you get a stamp on your passport saying " Processed for I-551....valid
to...." ?
