Hi, we're wondering if anyone else had any experience with travelling
prior to entering on a K1 visa. Since leaving during the whole visa
process seems cumbersome (with special permission needed to leave the
country) we thought it would be a good idea to take our vacation before
entering the US. We were thinking of somewhere in Africa like Kenya
possibly. Now our question is, will this present any sort of problem at
point of entry? We have all our shots and everything in case of malaria,
yellow fever, etc, so should be okay, however our trip comes after the
medical exam. Just wondering if anyone has any advice. We wondered if
the immigration officer might check our passports and give us a hard
time or anything. TIA
