Why do people answer in absolutes? There is always a "way" even if that
way is difficult, unlikely, improbable.

Diplomatic visas are not subject to such rules. If you gf can get
employed by her embassy (or, with somewhat less certainty, by an
international organization) she can get an A or a G visa that is not
covered by such rules.

Or, for that matter, the polygamy exclusion or the "expatriation to
avoid tax" exclusion or other purported "absolutes".
