What difference would being arrested make when filing the application
yourself? Are they going to throw that stuff at you during your
interview, would having a lawyer help? I don't think so. If you have
proper documentation and honest throughout the process, there is no
harm. Not all arrests are same. I have had an arrest, by INS themselves,
and I left the country more than 6 months (military tour I am on) they
won't approve my application because they arrested me before on a visa
violation and then they approved my greencard? Doesn't make sense.
