Hi,

I am on an F1 visa pursuing my PhD. My I-94 states D/S. My parents
recently
got their green card and want to file I-130 for me (unmarried child). I
would
like to know the following:

(a) Would their filing I-130 have any impact on my current F-1 status (I
do not plan to travel outside the U.S.)
(b) Would there be a problem if I apply for practical training (OPT)
after
graduation given I will have an I-130 pending
