Well, he is an immigrant and he would know there are rules and
regulatiosn to follow. And he can easily find out but he doesn't; he's
putting the burden on his brother who has less clue about these things.
This smells to me like he doesn't wan to explain to the siblings about
all the complications which i understand because that's how my sister
was to our nephew whao wanted to work at her clinic. She didn't bother
to explain to him and his parents and I tried to and was only resented
for it.
I had to write a long letter to the idiot mother (my sister) saying how
smart her son was blah..blah..blahh as she was telling me on the phone
that her son is very smart, blah..blah..blah.. They didn't understand
that I didn't eman he wasn't smart. he just didn't have the right
requirement in the eyes of immigration.
I do know one person - he was a fellow student on F-1 at my grad school
- who got H-1 at his brother-in-law's company of convenient store with
gas station and some car repair work attached. The guy had a bachelor
degree in business Administartion with minor in Computer Information
System. In reality, all he did was a cashier job, even before they did
H-1 for him, as he continued to take full time load. The purpose of him
getting H-1 was to pay tax to his Turkish government and get out of
serving in the army.

I didn't say it was a prereq.

Yeah..I was doing that with the experience I had with my family. Family
members have to be careful and cannot be straightforward like I did
when the other side has no clue how hard things can be. All they know
is my brother, my auntie, my *whiever* has a compnay and therefore I am
entitled to a job at that company.
