Donnie,
You already learned that your brother must be a US citizen to sponsor
you under family-based immigartion category. You also learned that it
takes a lot time, currently 12 years - mine was approved in 1993 with
priority date of July 1, 1993 and I got to apply my GC only in May
2005. I was already in US studying on F-1 at the time, my sister became
a citizen.
Once your brother, afetr becoming a citizen, and filed the petition for
you to emigrate, like my sister did, you will show imigfartion intent
and won't be able to apply for visit visa and student visa. remmeber
that I was already in US on student visa. I heard that soem epople
still applied for F-1 at student visa but they probably hid the fact
that they have a petition filed for them by a family member.
I'd say you should check into coming to US on work visa, if you meet
the requirement or enetr on student visa and may be study a program
that related to work at your brother's company. While studying, your
brother can try to hire you. I don't thik the Employer has to be a
citizen to hire qualitifed applicants.
You should be well informed as much as possiible and see whether your
brother will work with you on that. Good luck.
