I am in the same situation altough I am american looking to stay in the
uk after overstaying my visa. My situation is a bit different however. I
have 2 children with a man from the uk. I have been here for two
straight years now.(4 years off and on) I can not afford to move back to
america and support myself with four children and I do not want to take
my children away from their father. We have been together for 6 years,
wiht me going to america every 6 months to renew visas. I know there is
no excuse but to say I cant afford it and now Im going to face the facts
and the law head on. I feel the truth is the best way.If I get caught
sneeking, it will only make matters worse. We would like to get married
asap, as we have been engaged for years, but we never applied for a
fiance visa because that would mean me being in america and him here
while the processing went on. Its unfair to the children to be taken
from a parent due to silly laws.I dont believe people should sneek
around and try to get away with overstaying. It will only haunt you in
the future and make life even more difficult! Im going with my fiance
and my children to the british embassy in London to put my life in their
hands. Wish me luck, and hope they can sort out the mess so we can be a
proper family and get married and live here legally. Anyone have any
advice, Id like to hear it. I dont expect pity, I know I should have
renewed our visas, but im not a terrorist and im not working and
receiving benefits, Im just here taking care of my kids while being
supported by their father and the man I love. If sent home, I have no
family ,and no job, no home to go back to. All the assylum seekers live
here, why cant I?
Please Help! Sugarcoated would be even better lol
