You shouldn't need a new stamp.

A passport is defined by US immigration law as a document, or collection
of documents issued by a lawful authority that establishes identity,
age, and nationality.

The old passport with visa, the new passport and the I-94 together meet
that requirement. You don't need to do anything other than extend or
get a new passport as long as your I-94 has time left on it and you are
complying with the terms of your lawful admission.

You are required to maintain a valid passport or evidence of alien
registration (green card or equivelant) and have that readily available
as long as you are in the US.
