affidavit of support for marriage based Green Card Posted on: Tue, 13 Dec 2005 05:04:01 +0000 (UTC)

Hello everyone!

My husband is an American citizen, and we have an interview in January
2006. We have been married for 2 years, and have proof of life
together, s.a. joint bank statements, bills, etc. However, I am
currently a student, (although graduating in May : ), and my husband,
unfortunately, doesn't make enough money to be my affidavit of
support. We live in a very seasonal town in SC, and it's hard to find
a stable employment here. I asked my girlfriend, who lives in CA and
makes enough money to sign my affidavit of support, but I am a little
bit worried that they might cause us some problems, because my husband
is not my affidavit of support.
Did anyone have a similar problem, or heard anything about it?

Thank you! Any help is greatly appreciated!
