They keep changing the procedure all the time. So keep yourself
updated. At my time, I had to mail to the Chicago office but the
interview would be at District office (since mine is family-based but
that is not standard every state). So, I look at the processing date
of the District Office.

You need to find out which office you will get the interview and look
at the processing date time line for that office.

I don't know which office your mom would get interview. You should
read it on the website.

I have no idea for AP nowadays but I would think it would take long cus
they have everything in database nowadays.

One thing you can do is make "Infoseek" appointment with your local
District office and go ask how long it might take. For Info Seek, go to
uscis.gov and look for "Info Seek" link.
