Um, yeah, and that, for the third time, is precisely why I have been
saying:
"Secret wiretapping of foreign communications has been legal under FISA
since 1978. What Bush has done -- and the only difference in this issue
-- is allege he can do it without obeying the law.
"Nothing prior to 9/11 prevented Bush from obtaining a warrant, even
after the fact, to listen in on Atta. He's contending he's above the
law, and that's what Cheney is defending."
What Bush wants to do illegally already can be done in a legal fashion,
since 1978.
