Yes, and make sure you get "long form" birth certs that have as much details
about the parents as possible (at least the full names with mother's maiden
name - but hopefully also the parents' dates and places of birth). Some
countries (or regions within countries) have "short form" birth certs that
don't even name the parents at all. This type of "short form" birth cert
won't be acceptable as it doesn't prove parentage.
