travel outside U.S. w/out GC

I just recently got my greencard but had to return it because of an
USCIS administrative error. I got my receipt indicating that I will
get my card within 2-3 weeks. I need to go home (Philippines) for an
emergency and I've booked a flight for early next week. I know I
can't enter the U.S. without the card but if it gets here in 2-3
weeks time, I plan to have my husband mail me my greencard to my
Philippine home address.

Question: Will I be able to leave the U.S. with just my Philippine
passport and without the actual greencard in my possession?
