I have just renewed my daughter's passport and her visa is still valid
in her old passport.... just need to take both if we travel. In theory
your visa and your passport expiry date should be the same but like in
our case it wasn't so and in your case again it will not be so either.
You can ask your current visa to be transfered to your new passport
however. I think it's $12 or so prices seem to go up every so often!
In any case you could take your marriage certificate when you travel.
That would clarify things.
I have to take my daughter's birth certificate with me every time we
travel because our surnames are different!
