Canadian citizens do not require a visa for an H-1B and you will not be
able to obtain one through the Consulate. You need to explain to any
officer that asks for a visa that as a Canadian, you are not required to
obtain one. If there is confusion, politely ask to speak to the
supervisor on this issue.
