My daughter is in her 4th year at uni. in Toronto. This morning when
she was passing through US Immigration the officer asked for her travel
documents. She had her UK PP and her GC, but the officer kept insisting
that she should have travel documents. She comes back into the US
every month or so for a long weekend in term time and has never had a
problem before. The officer also kept asking her if she was driving a
lease car...which it is not she is the owner. Does anyone know what the
'travel documents' are? When she first went to uni. we were told that
there was no need to apply for a re-entry permit as she was only out of
the US for a few weeks at any one time.
We applied for US citizenship 3 wks ago and my daughter was returning
home to have the bios. done this afternoon. I wondered if this had
anything to do with Immigration Officer's questions.
