So, tell us, did you ever drive over the speed limit?
That's breaking the law, and if you did, you'd be a "criminal" by your own
definition (as would pretty much every adult US citizen... a nation of
"criminals"...)
There are several severity levels of breaking the law, and while an illegal is
indeed breaking the law, that is not a criminal act at this point. In the last
Congress, there was a bill in the House that would have made being illegal a
felony, but that bill died.
