This has probably been asked here numerous times, but I am posting it
here as I could not find a similar thread in the first few pages of
this forum.

I am a new USC and am thinking about petitioning for my parents who are
back in my home country. If I file now, how long should I expect the
entire processing to take? More importantly, how much time from the day
visa is issued do they have to immigrate here? The concern arises
because due to other reasons, they will not be ready to immigrate before
the end of June. However I would still like to get the process rolling
now and save time if possible.

What kind of timeline have people here experienced?
