Subject: Immigration Paperwork Posted on: Thu, 08 Mar 2007 16:41:30 +0000

Hopefully I can find some answers on some concerning questions that I
have. I'm married to a guy from Kuwait for almost 3 years in May. I've
been with him for a total of 6 years. He's been in the United States for
almost 8 years. He came here on a student visa. We dated and then
married. One year ago he was picked up by Immigration and was held in a
detention center at a prison for almost one month. Due to falling out of
his then current student visa status is why he was picked up. We were in
the process of filing his paperwork. He did get released with a bond and
now we've went to immigration court twice to keep the judge and
ourselves updated with the processing of his paperwork. We have another
hearing coming up next week. Anyhow we were told it could take up to
three years for our I-130 form to be processed and then we have to do
the rest of our paperwork as we were instructed to do so. I work and my
husband stays home. So all of that said and done is there anyway that my
husband and I could possibly go to Kuwait and his paperwork still
process? He never was deported obvisously. But how long would it
possibly be until he can re-enter the United States here with me. Also
will he get his bond money back? Any answers and advice would be greatly
appreciated. We have no kids neither. Just thought I'd throw that in
from reading other people's postings.
