Subject: Teaching in Houston, How easy? Posted on: Sun, 11 Mar 2007 18:07:22 +0000

Hi, my husband and i are looking to move to Houston as teachers, we plan
to move accross next summer (2008), to teach in one of Houstons schools.

My husband teaches secondary/high school citizenship/social studies, and
i teach elementary level. We both have experience of SEN (special
educational needs) and know a reasonable amount of spanish.

We understand that we will need to get a HB1 visa, but do we need to get
a position first or after and is sponsership necessary?

Any tips, advice or comments on how to and how complicated the visa
process is would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know whether teachers can be fast tracked through due to the
shortages?

Thank you all. x x
