Are you sure that it's form I-171? If so, that is a "Notice of Approval
to Apply for Permanent Residence". An approved I-171 clears the way for
the person to apply for PR status... by itself, the I-171 is not
approval of PR status.



I'd be surprised if there was a case or A number... since she hasn't yet
applied for PR status.
