Is everyone over-caffienated today?

The OP is an Indian Citizen, resident in the US.
The OP has a USC child, born here.
The OP wants to move back to India (some time) permanently and take his
child with him.
The OP wants to know how to get Indian citizenship for his child.
India does not 'do' dual citizenship; presumably something will have to
be done to shed the US citizenship *as far as India is concerned*.

The answers are probably in the India-version of the USCIS department.

PS: a quick browse of the first page of the immigrationportal discussion
seems to have lots of answers.
