Find the big gun companies in your field, research them to death,
network if you can, find out where their most critical needs are, and
offer your services (using an Americanized Resume, naturally).
Do you homework on H1bs.
Be prepared to fly over for interviews.
You may have to do this a few dozen times though... (the research, not
the flying over - the latter is likely only if they are seriously
interested)
