Get all of your court records from the shoplifting incident and bring
them to an immigration attorney. I think it will be very difficult for
anyone here to give you a specific answer because it is not clear
exactly what happened with your charges. You say you were not convicted
but you were fined so you were not found innocent either. Perhaps you
pled "no contest" to the charges but I am just speculating. Best thing
to do is bring all the criminal charges to an immigration lawyer and see
what they say.
