I'm also waiting for the damn name check. My interview happened
on Mar. 2006 and it's a year for me. I have a friend whose naturalization
interview happened on Oct. 2004 and he's still waiting ...
I, too, wish that there is answer to the question that you're asking.
I've read/heard that people are using legal process to speed up the process
and I'm starting to think about it ...
