I never got a refund, in the 20+ years I worked. I am one of those
hapless bastards in the voiceless minority that ends up paying over
70% of the income tax pot. Do a little research and discover that less
then 10% of the population ends up paying more then 65% of the tax
pot. The democrats (read socialists) call us "the rich". I don't get
any of the plethora of benefits the majority of these socialist
lefties get either. I can't claim any of my expenses for my son's
college education. Hell, I couldn't even deduct him fully as a
dependant this year. I don't get no free medical benefits, assisted
housing, education expense dedections, property tax refunds or any of
that other stuff I dearly pay taxes for. And I even pay AMT on top of
it all. Hell, I payed more taxes in the last decade then most people
make as gross income a year.
And I don't mind paying my taxes. Not in the slightest. I accept that
I am in an income and tax bracket of the so-called "rich".
What I *do* mind is that it's always the ones who don't pay a dime
into the system that get to whine and complain all the time. They are
the ones who get the EIC/assisted housing/tax refunds/blablabla. And
it's still not enough. Now the illegal immigrants want my tax$ to
provide for their "tax refund"? Illegal immigrants nowadays are giving
interviews on TV, for crying out loud! It's time we start doing
something about this farce, let go of our ankles, and take our country
back. The IRS should forward all the ITIN data (Individual Taxpayer
Identification Numbers conveniently assigned by the IRS for those who
don't have a valid social security number) to Immigration Enforcement
for investigative research, that's what should happen. I bet you the
vast majority of those belong to undocumented aliens. |
