What is your wife's status in the US? Unless she's a PR, she's merely
"visiting" in the US for an unusually long period of time... possibly
with no status.
You don't want to do this.
Since your wife gets no health coverage in the US simply by virtue of
being married to an American or as a resident (?) of the US, I'm
guessing the reverse is also true. I'm also guessing this question would
be better answered if you posted in a newsgroup dealing with living in
Italy, as opposed to one focussed on living in the US.
