Hey RS: why is there uncertainty about 8 million?

Over 20 years according to your figures the illegals grew from 2
million to 20 million. Or 10 fold. It averages to about 1 million
illegals each year. If you assume equal percentage of males and
femals, and they are all married and having 2 kids, there are 0.16
million illegal families added each year. If you don't count kids
(possibly US citizens) there will 0.25 million illegal families added
each year. By the time the kids reach 18 years, their parents will be
granted legal status. The 1987 and 1988 batch of illegal families will
be legal even without amnesty. Even if you don't grant amnesty now, by
2020 all of them will be legal. The situation is exponential when the
families have more than 2 kids. It is better to give them some kind
of assurance, other than amnesty, so they don't beget more than 2
kids. The neo-conservatives have to rethink the abortion as a means of
stabilizing the population of the illegals. Even the pope should speak
out because the situation is grave as of now.
