Your status as an H4 will cease the minute you get divorced. I am not
sure what you mean by 'pursuing your own PERM/GC status' as you have no
basis for getting PR other than as a dependent of your husband.
As an H4 you are not allowed to work in the US.
Whether you get support depends on the eventual divorce settlement.
I really do not think you have any option other than to leave the US -
not just for a couple of months but for good.
