Showing up early won't hurt. Just don't be late!
In my interview, the officer looked at my green card and passport,
then went over some of the yes/no questions on the application, and
asked if anything had changed since I had applied. Next came the
civics/history test. I got six questions correct so he stopped
asking. Sometimes they ask all ten.

I applied after three years of marriage to a US citizen, so I brought
the marriage-related documents and evidence of my wife's citizenship.
He didn't ask to see any of that stuff, though. Just looked at my
green card and passport.

At some offices they give you a choice of dates for the ceremony. I
don't know about Miami. It won't hurt to ask.
