what my legal status is in the United States! It might not be as easy
as it sounds. I will give more information as needed. Let's play!
I am NOT a United States citizen.
I am a Canadian citizen.
I do NOT have a green card.
I crossed the United States border from Canada.
I had permission to enter from a Customs Officer at a legal point of
entry.
I am MARRIED to a U.S. citizen.
I crossed the border as a visitor.
I haven't filed for Adjustment of Status yet, but I did NOT intend to
cross the border as a visitor and adjust status (I did not commit visa
fraud)
There you have it! What is my legal status in the United States? Am I
an illegal alien? A legal resident alien? A citizen?!? It's anyone's
guess under these crazy immigration laws! Have fun! |
