Koos,

under these circumstances I would guess that it is either a
permanent electronic failure, perhaps a chip failure due to a
weak chip along with the heat, or a mechanical failure, perhaps
due to a bearing getting stuck due to dust accumulation. If so,
you probably won't be able to get it back into working order.

Just guesses, of course.
