In Egypt I recommend the pyramids in Giza and the Egyptian museum in
Cairo.

Plus a one day out of Cairo excursion to Saqqara, and Dahshur.

Then Valley of Kings in Luxor.

I was there in March 2002 and 2003 and Egypt can be cold (Alexandria)
and hot (Luxor and Aswan) but not unbearably hot at that time.
