Beverly, all,

some people believe that humans are attracted by Africa,
particularly the east African savannah, because this is the land
where we evolved and of which we have a "genetic memory".

This contravenes the wisdom of some religions, if their
scriptures are taken all too literally. But I think it's an
interesting thought nonetheless.
