Hi Laura,
we were in Tanzania for a safari in the north 2 months ago and ended up our
journey with 5 days in Zanzibar.
We spent 8 days visiting NgoroNgoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and
Arusha NP, plus one day around Lake Natron.
We usually travel by ourselves and we didn't want to be on a group for the
safari trip, so we arranged it through a small but reliable company based in
Arusha.
We decided any detail together. From the accommodation to the itinerary,
based on our preferences and the guide's experience.
It has been a perfecly organized tour with the extra value given by the
family atmosphere and the nice talks we had.
If you need any further information, do not hesitate to ask.
As for Zanzibar, we stayed at Baobab Beach Bungalow in Nungwi (1 hour and
1/2 from Stonetown) and we found it really nice and quiet.
We visited Stonetown by ourselves, getting there by dala-dala and joined a
snorkeling tour to Mnemba.
The very good thing in Nungwi - besides the nice breeze - is that the tide
is not a real problem as it is in Kiwengwa, where sometimes it is quite hard
to go swimming.
