Personally I've never been asked to pay the double fee when crossing the
bridge. Perhaps the rangers do apply different criteria for groups and for
self-driving visitors with only 2-3 pax in a vehicle. Anyway I
haven't been to Kenya for the last three years , so things might have
changed. In any case I'd find it more reasonable to issue a single ticket
even for a higher price for the whole Samburu complex, or at least for
Samburu/Buffalo, if the reason is to share the income between Isiolo and
Samburu districts. I wouldn't mind so much paying more for what this complex
has to offer, but being charged several times in what is roughly a single
reserve is quite off-putting.
