Your best bet is probably to fly from Paris to Dakar.

Brussels is becoming a European hub for flights to Africa, and there
are a lot of small travel agencies in the Matonge district that have
discount tickets to many African cities (they specialize in Central
Africa, but they might be able to get you a cheap fare to West Africa).
