Re: How's Zambia's Livingstone? Posted on: Mon, 04 Sep 2006 11:02:46 +0200

Livingstone is fantastic. The situation in Zimbabwe will have no
impact on tourists to Zambia apart from probably creating more
tourist opportunities in Zambia.

I'd strongly recommend visiting Livingstone as soon as possible,
before it becomes completely overrun with lodges, hotels, tourist
restaurants, fast food chains, etc. etc. etc. like Niagra has become.

The falls are truly one of the most magnificent thing you will ever
experience.

Safety and crime are negligable problems if you follow the same safety
rules that you would in any foreign country.

October is a good time of the year because it's not too hot yet. The
river level could be quite high, so you will likely get excellent
views. By December it's usually too full to see the falls through the
"smoke that thunders".
