We took a 3 day cruise on Lake Nasser, the Nile above Aswan dam.
It was a good and relaxing trip on the MS Eugenie, one of a few allowed
on the lake. We weren't kept excessively busy, were well fed, but we
were up at 6 and 5:15 the last 2 days. The last to make our plane from
Abu Simbel back to Aswan.

We stayed up late one night to look at the stars in the clear dark sky,
unimpeded by any lights of any kind. I'd like to be there on August
12th to see the Perseid meteors.

There are a hundred or more cruise boats between Aswan (below the dam)
and Luxor. They looked like cattle boats.
