I used Doxy in Thailand in the eastern provinces, had no side-effects
whatsoever.

Doxy however is a type of antibiotics, same as Tetracycline and
Vibramycin so one should be a little careful, using too much antibiotics
can cause other problems as well as multi resistant bacteria and MRSA,
not fun.
