I have to rant here. This obsession with making window passengers
lower the shades when no one is watching their bad movie is horrible.
And yes, I too have had the experience of having to keep the shade down
so we could see the onscreen map instead of looking out the window at
our destination - ridiculous. The overhead light is so dim that if you
try to read only by that you wind up with a headache.
