United wanted to charge me $200 to issue a new ticket because
the E-ticket had just my first Initial and name, instead of the full
name as per the passport. I pointed out that they had accepted
my Credit card OK with the full name printed on the e-ticket
receipt, after a lot of humming and hahhing they decided to
issue an emended ticket for no charge. it took all of three minutes
for the agent on the computer so don't know where the
proposed $200 came from. |
