Anyone with Outlook Express can do that. You just set the thread on
the "watch" list, and when any new posts appear, the newsgroup name
will turn to red in the newsgroups list. Only Outlook Express has this
feature. That is probably how he can respond so fast. Outlook
Express can alert him when new posts appear in any thread he
he puts on the "watch" list. It is unque features like that that
make Outlook Express the number one news reader in the world.
