not in my world...
all the middle-class people i work with seem to want their
wives to stay at home with the kids, & they all want 4-5
bedrooms and a yard. So that means 25 miles+ one way to
work. Working at home isn't much of an option, since if
their job can be done remotely, someone overseas is a
whole lot cheaper.
they chose it knowing the possibilities. When i was
looking for a new place, some of them told me i could get
so much more for my money if i moved out where they live.
I'm much happier with a smaller, much closer place. They
wake up at 5:00am to keep the daily drive in under 60-90
mins... unreal how much of their lifestyle is dictated by
that commute.
