I actually had something like this "suggested" by SAS a couple weeks
ago. I was considering taking a long weekend somewhere as I had
Monday off this week. Among other things, I was checking for round
trips Trondheim (Norway) to Barcelona on the SAS web page.
In stead of just the days I had specified, I was presented with a list
of possibe flight combinations each way for a few days before and
after. As usual, the cheapest outbound and return alternatives were
pre-selected, and if I had acepted those, I would have had:
Outbound: Tuesday Oct 3, dep. Trondheim 6AM, arrival in Barcelona 11:40
Return: Tuesday Oct 3, dep. Barcelona 12:30
So I could have 50 minutes at the Barcelona airport for a little under
$500. I suppose I would even have been allowed to book it.
I ended up not going anywhere...
