Oooh. Looks like somebody touched a nerve.

As I've pointed out before, the Euros wish that the US would stay out
of everyone else's business so that the Euros aren't bothered while
*they* interfere with others. Unless, of course, the Euros need us then
they demand that we be at their beck and call.

The Euros are entitled to act in what they perceive as their own best
national interests but the US is not. Never quite understood that.
