You can't assume every single passenger to have internet access before
boarding. We rented an apartment in Barcelona which do not have
internet connection. I know I may have been dumbed down by every US
airports where redundant info is provided. I am also pampered by
Continental which I don't even have to remember my confirmation number.
Scanning the passport called up my flight confirmation. But a
completely clean bus devoid of any airline and terminal information and
a completely clean airport entry ramp devoid of any airline terminal
posting is not friendly.
