True but here is the statement being replied to (which you snipped).

You were stating that a gun wouldn't help in that case.....which is
probably not true, particularly when the bad guy doesn't know he has it.
Secondly, you mentioned martial arts......difficult to use if you are the
only person with enough balls to go after the bad guys and you happen to
be the 70 year old in a wheelchair.
